4 from county are OGBCA All-State
Four Kingfisher County seniors were selected to the honor of Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-State.
Picked last week after a round of tryouts were Abbie Myers and Reese Roof of Kingfisher High School and Aliana Lawson and Hadley Ott of Lomega High School.
Roof and Myers were named to the Middle West team, which includes Classes 3A and 4A.
Lawson and Ott were picked to the Small West team, which includes Classes B-II, B-I, A and 2A.
The annual OGBCA All-State games will be Saturday, May 30, at Mustang High School.
The Middle West will take on the Middle East team at 1 p.m.
The Small West will play the Small East at 2 p.m.
Lawson and Ott guided Lomega to a 30-1 record and the Class B-II state championship.
Ott scored 11.1 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 38 percent from 3-point range.
Lawson averaged 10.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.5 steals a game.
Both were recently named to the Cherokee Strip All-Conference team.
Myers and Reese earned spots on the Western Athletic Conference first-team. They guided KHS to a 26-5 mark and a spot in the Class 4A state tournament.
Roof led the team with 12.7 points a game. She also averaged 2.2 assists and 1.9 steals.
Myers scored 12.0 points and led the team with 7.2 rebounds per game and tied for the team lead with 2.3 steals.
