Marilyn Sue Schutkesting Smith, 80, was born Dec. 13, 1943, to Fred and Charolotte Shaw Schutkesting at her home in Hennessey and died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at Hennessey Care Center.She married Jerry Smith in Hennessey on June 15, 1962, a union that would span over 61 years.

Henry Holmes, Jr.

The homegoing services honoring the life of Henry C. Holmes, Jr. 27, of Virgina, were Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the First Assembly of God Church in Kingfisher with Pastor Wendell Prim officiating. Burial followed in Morrison Cemetery in Lacey.

Mary Jo Bullis

Mary Josephine (Browne) Bullis was born in Hunnewell, Mo., on Aug. 3, 1940, to Loretta Rose (Montgomery) Browne and Charles Chapman Browne. She passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024. She was 83.Mary Jo had five siblings: Sue, Bill, Mike, Eileen and Charlie.

James ‘Jim’ Bruner Jr.

James (Jim) Everett Bruner, Jr., passed away Jan. 10, 2024, with his wife by his side. Jim was born in Mansfield, La., on Aug. 11, 1951, to the late James and Catherine Bruner. Jim graduated from Hennessey High School in 1969. Shortly after high school, Jim volunteered for the U.S. Army.

Walter Parks, 92, of Kingfisher, passed away Jan. 4, 2024.A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Frontline Ministries.Come-and-go viewing will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in Kingfisher from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10.

David Roy Inge, 72, passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City on Jan. 4, 2024, with his family and friends by his side.He was born Oct. 9, 1951, in Oklahoma City. He was the third of five children in his family.When he was born, the doctors did not have much hope for him.

Eldrige Oran Hubbard, a longtime resident of Loyal and Kingfisher, passed away at his Kingfisher home Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023.Eldrige was born July 15, 1930, and was the second child of Oran and Golda Hubbard.He attended school at Omega and graduated in 1948.

Vicki Newsome Younger, 68, of Kingfisher, departed this life on Dec. 4, 2023, at her home.Vicki was born July 14, 1955, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid to Booker T. Newsome and Corine Newsome White of Kingfisher.She attended Kingfisher High School and graduated in 1974.

Robert Gene Hosier, 85, of Kingfisher, passed away peacefully Dec. 31, 2023. He was born July 3, 1938, in Arapaho and was the son of the late William Clyde and Violet Bell. Robert was the father of two children, Robert Wayne Hosier and the late Roberta Elaine Nash.
