Toni (Pfleider) Bender, 64, of Kingfisher, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, April 18, 2022, after a hard fight against cancer.Toni was born Aug. 12, 1957, to Bud and Janene Pfleider in Alva.

Curtis Doyal Kirby, 85, died March 31, 2022, at the Norman Veterans Center.He was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Kingfisher to George Emery Kirby and Maggie Lou Stallcup Kirby.Curtis served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-56.He had two sons with Carol Donnelly Kirby.

Luke Edward Strickland, 15, was called to Heaven on Thursday, April 7, 2022.Luke was born April 24, 2006, and was raised in Kingfisher.He attended Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School from the age of 3 until the fourth grade, then attended Kingfisher Public Schools until his passing.

John Louis Yost, 50, of Loyal, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 5, 2022, after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure.John was born Nov. 18, 1971, to Rebecca Sue (Pruett) Yost and Louis Ray Yost in Kingfisher.He had a creative mind and was always thinking outside of the box.

Charles Randall Kordis was born April 19, 1954, to Art and Inez Kordis in Kingfisher. He passed away March 31, 2022.Charles attended Cashion Schools and graduated in 1972.During his senior year, he met Pam and they were married Jan. 5, 1973.

Paul “Boots” Charles Knecht passed away April 5, 2022.Paul was born Feb. 24, 1932, in Okarche. He was a lifelong resident of Okarche and a Holy Trinity Catholic School graduate.In 1953, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a corporal.

Betty (Elizabeth) Jean Borelli, of Oklahoma City, entered her Heavenly home on March 28, 2022.She was born on Aug. 30, 1938, in Oklahoma City to Dorothy and C.D. (Bus) Buser.Betty attended Rosary Catholic School and graduated from McGuiness High School in 1957.

Curtis Kirby, 85, formerly of Dover, died Thursday, March 31, 2022, at the Norman Veterans Center.No services are planned.

Betty Borelli, 83, of Okarche, died Monday, March 28, 2022, at her home.Funeral services are pending with Buchanan Funeral Services of Oklahoma City.

Dorothy Louise Toepfer was born Oct. 19, 1937, to Ellena Evelyn (Andrews) and William Thomas Mast in Arkansas City, Kan. She passed away March 23, 2022.Dorothy fell in love and married Paul Amos Toepfer on Oct. 30, 1955, in Arkansas City after attending Cowley County Junior College.
