Kingfisher High School softball got a taste of the big time on Thursday night.

The Lady Jackets played on the main field at Devon Park - the home of the Women’s College World Series - in Oklahoma City as part of the Hall of Fame Festival.

They cashed in on the opportunity with a 6-0 victory over Noble.

Earlier in the day, KHS lost 9-6 to Elgin on one of the outer fields at Devon Park.

Against Noble, Kendall Farrar continued her scorching hot season at the plate as she went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a pair of runs scored.

That first run came in the first when her two-out single was followed by an RBI double off senior Kinlee East’s bat.

Farrar made it 2-0 in the third inning when she singled and later scored on Lily Voth’s base hit.

The bases were then loaded for Farrar in the fourth and she delivered a two-run single to push the score to 6-0.

Ryan Scammahorn and Liliana Garramone also had RBIs in the inning.

Voth surrendered four hits and struck out four in the shutout win.

Elgin scored four runs in the bottom of the third to pull out its win.

The Lady Jackets led 5-0 after the top of the first and were up 6-1 in the second on East’s RBI double.

Elgin bats warmed up with five runs in the second inning and then the Owls were able to walk it off in the third.

East was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a run.

Farrar was also 2 for 3 and scored twice.

The win over Noble snapped what was a twogame skid for the Lady Jackets.

They were defeated 13-5 at home on Tuesday by Guthrie.

It was a homecoming of sorts for Morgan Dutton, who was the KHS coach the last three years, but now is an assistant on the Lady Jays’ staff.

Her team brought the long ball down State Highway 33 as Guthrie hit five home runs in the game.

One came off the bat of Teagan Duching to give her team a 3-0 lead in the first.

Farrar answered with an RBI single in the bottom of the inning and then delivered a run-scoring triple in the third to pull KHS within 3-2.

But Guthrie rallied right back with three more runs in the fourth, including back-to-back home runs.

The lead swelled to 10-2 before East provided some offensive spark with a tworun homer of her own.

However, Guthrie scored three more in the next frame to continue to pull away.

Halle Hamilton had three hits for the Jays, including two homers.

KHS did have seven hits in the game, three off the bat of Farrar.

Leadoff hitter Adlee Friesen was 1 for 3 and scored twice.

KHS returned to Devon Park on Saturday with a 6-4 overall record as it was set to conclude the festival with games against Yukon JV and Plainview.
