Coyle shot the ball well enough to beat Okarche.The Bluejackets just couldn’t get any stops on the defensive end.Okarche rolled into the Class A regional finals Thursday night by running away from Coyle 92-60 on the Warriors’ home court.They’ll host No. 11 Velma-Alma at 7:30 p.m.

Four Kingfisher High School wrestlers reached the quarterfinal round of the girls west regional last week.However, none of the Lady Jackets was able to wrestle her way into the state tournament.“We grew and improved a lot this season,” said cocoach Steven Wilson.

Abby Swart returned to Lomega’s lineup Thursday… and made it count.The junior scored 24 points as the Lady Raiders blitzed host Calumet 8442 in a Class B regional semifinal.Second-ranked Lomega played No. 12 Dover in Saturday’s regional championship game (after press time) at Fairview.

There was a time when Dover was not only a mainstay in the Class B state tournament, but the state title game itself.The Lady Longhorns played for seven consecutive state championships from 2001-07, winning it all four times.
