KHS to head south again for 1st round of playoffs

For the second straight year, Kingfisher will travel to the Ardmore area for the first round of the Class 3A playoffs.Thursday night’s win at Anadarko gave KHS a third place finish in District 3A-1 behind champion Metro Christian and runner-up Perkins-Tryon.Anadarko is fourth.

Hopes of a Hennessey district championship remained strong at halftime last Friday night. By the end of the third quarter, they were all but gone. Millwood rattled off 42 unanswered points in the second half - 30 of them in the third quarter - to knock off the upset-minded Eagles 58-22.
