Dover erased a halftime deficit with a dominant third quarter at Gracemont Friday to snap its losing streak.The Longhorns outscored the Lions 21-7 just after halftime to pull out a 57-45 road win.It put an end to a threegame skid and improved Dover to 2-3 on the season.

Hensley Eaton had the spotlight prior to Lomega’s 65-25 dismantling of Burlington last Friday night, but it was a sophomore who stole the show on the court.

Kingfisher’s freshmen boys opened their basketball season with a convincing win.The Jackets used a dominant third quarter Thursday to pull away from Chisholm for a 59-37 victory.Kingfisher had built a 10-point halftime lead, bu went on a 21-8 run after the break to put away the Longhorns.

Shidler proved to be just what Dover needed to snap its brief losing streak.Dover shut down the visiting Lady Tigers in a 47-22 win at home on Tuesday.The Lady Longhorns had lost two in a row, but now sit at 2-2.They held Shidler to just two points in each the first and third quarters.

Three Warriors scored in double figures and the defense continued to improve as Okarche won its third straight game.The Warriors forced 31 turnovers in a 66-45 home win against Harding Fine Arts.After losing its first two games of the season, Okarche is now 3-2.

Lomega began what it hopes is a new winning streak on Tuesday.The Lady Raiders rebounded from their first loss in nearly two full years with a 67-49 win at home against Calumet.A 56-game win streak was snapped the previous Friday when Okarche prevailed in overtime.
