Net-Zero Cows

The liberals who’ve been trying to legislate the weather lately now say that we are facing a “national climate emergency” and to hear them rant and rave it’s all the cow’s fault. Universities and greenie groups are insisting that we need net-zero cows so we won’t face “the sixth mass extinction”.

DOVER BOARD OF TRUSTEES

There are three candidates who filed for two four-year seats on the Dover Board of Trustees.They are Angela Kubat, 54; James Michael Walters, 72, and Rena Walters, 37.Voters will select two candidates on their ballots and the top two vote getters will be elected to the board.Only Mrs.

HENNESSEY BOARD OF TRUSTEES: 4-YEAR TERM

Five people filed for the two seats on the Hennessey Board of Trustees that will carry four-year terms.They are: Miguel Hernandez, 31; David O. Jones, 68; Tim Riddle, 63; Evelyn Ramirez, 22; and Harold Shaw, 58.Shaw, who is currently the mayor, and Jones are the two incumbents.

HENNESSEY BOARD OF TRUSTEES: 2-YEAR UNEXPIRED TERM

There is one open seat on the Hennessey Board of Trustees that carries with it a two-year unexpired term.Two candidates filed for the seat: Frank Patton, 65, and John Peach, 73.Voters will mark the box next to just one name on this portion of the ballot.

HENNESSEY TOWN TREASURER

There were two filings for the four-year term of town treasurer for the Town of Hennessey.They were: Shelley Burch, 51, the incumbent; and Kelley Vaverka, 59.Voters will mark the box next to one of the names. ( Note: See Sample Ballot on Page 6.

OKARCHE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Two candidates filed for Office No. 2 on the Okarche Town Board of Trustees.They were: Keith E. Griesel, 47, and Judd K. Kroener, 53.Voters will fill in the box next to one of the names.The seat of Office No. 4 was also open, but only one candidate filed. JD Mueggenborg, 43, will fill that seat.

Rep. Mike Dobrinski reports: Fire devastates many in the state

Dangerous wildfires and straightline winds starting March 14, resulted in the deaths of four people in the state, 200 injured and damage to more than 400 homes, many of them and other structures totally destroyed. It’s estimated that about 179,000 acres had burned as of Tuesday morning.
