Trent, Beecher named USAO honor students

The University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma recently named 322 students to the university’s two honor rolls for the fall 2024 trimester.University records show 186 students were named to the USAO Honor Roll and 136 students to the Regents Honor Roll.

Hamil’s gold paces KHS at Western Conference

Rylee Hamil won her weight class Monday at the Girls Western Conference Wrestling Tournament in Hinton.Hamil defeated Bailey Rankin of Cache with a pin at 1:06 to claim gold at 115 pounds.Her efforts helped Kingfisher to a fourth-place finish in the tournament at Hinton.

Kingfisher bounced back from one of its most lopsided losses of the season to win some hardware in Chisholm.The Jackets won back-to-back games Saturday and Monday to claim the Wheat Capital Tournament’s consolation championship.
