Glen Bodin, right, and Margaret Phillips, left, were the guest speakers of the Kingfisher Rotary Club recently. Both talked of the unique Montevino housing development currently underway in Kingfisher. There are currently two “high end,” low lot size/low maintenance homes for sale in the addition located west off 13th Street. Phillips, the local real estate agent marketing the property, said there are several premium lots for sale as well as the two “move-in ready homes” available. “These two homes for sale currently are much, much lower price per square foot than you could ever build for now and if you see them, you will be very pleasantly surprised by the high-end features,” she said. Bodin, who owned a trucking company in Louisiana for many years before selling it and eventually making the move to Yukon, said he was “looking for something to do” after he sold his business, and he moved to Yukon pursuing other real estate construction and lease interests and investments. When he heard of the Montevino property, he said he was interested in the possibilities. He said he was raised in a small town in Louisiana and he was captivated by the charm of the Kingfisher community and decided to invest here as well. “It’s a great community, with wonderful people and it’s everything I like in a community,” he said.
