• MEET THE CANDIDATE: Kingfisher County Republican Women is continuing its series of hosting candidates for the next gubernatorial election. Jake Merrick will make a presentation at the group’s next meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the Kingfisher County Farm Bureau Insurance Building, 117 W. Sheridan in Kingfisher. Merrick is a former state senator and is currently a radio host. The public is invited to attend and there will be a Q&A after his presentation. Other candidates set to appear are listed in an ad in this edition.

Class A CDL Training by CTTC

Among the continually expanding list of offerings by Chisholm Trail Technology Center is Class A CDL training. CTTC offers its training at a site just north of Watonga. Most recently, 11 employees of Wheeler Brothers took the course.
