CELEBRATING 111

Officially the second oldest living Oklahoman by less than two months, Christine Phillips still remembers the Spanish Flu, which devastated Kingfisher County when she was 9 years old. This year, Mrs. Phillips and her fellow residents of Countrywood Assisted Living Center and other nursing homes are living under extreme restrictions to keep them safe from yet another pandemic. Anyone interested in participating in the birthday parade is asked to meet at the First Baptist Church parking lot on South 13th Street at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Countrywood Administrator Kaci Farrar said.
