Cashion hosts J&C Cheer Camp; 6 members earn chance to perform at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Cashion junior high cheer squad hosted a private J&C Camp recently. The entire squad received a Perfect Performance Award. Members of the squad, pictured above, include, from left: front row, Jaydin Malone, Kyndal Isom, Azylnn Thomas, Khloe Kastner, Jayce Bradley, Reese Hobgood and Adalyn Poston; and back row, Sarah Montoya, Sadie Weaver, Dylan Ahearn, Ruby Hudson, Blake Cavner, Kylie Henson, Alex Jerry and Bella Ball. Hadley House and co-coaches Casi Williams and Amber Hobgood are not pictured. On top of the team award, a handful of cheerleaders earned All-Star honors and are invited to perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. OSU WRESTLING CAMP

Four Kingfisher High School wrestlers took part in late June in the OSU team camp in Stillwater. They attended with the now former KHS head wrestling coach Ed Evey. Attending were, from left, Braxton Shellstrom, Braden Kochenower, Isaac Long and Gant Browning. In a camp-ending tournament, Long was the champ of his weight class while Shellstrom and Kochenower each placed third in theirs. Shellstrom, Long and Browning all qualified for last year’s Class 4A state wrestling tournament for the Jackets, who are now coached by Bryan Dutton. [Photo provided]
