ACADEMIC ALL-STATE

The 2020-21 fast-pitch season has long been over, but Kingfisher’s Olivia Wilcox isn’t done pulling in honors from the sport. Wilcox was recently named an Academic All-State selection by the Oklahoma Fast-Pitch Softball Coaches Association. The recent KHS graduate has signed to play at Mid-America Christian University. She carried a 4.0 GPA and was one of the Class of 2021’s valedictorians. She was a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, among many other activities. In softball, Wilcox was Kingfisher’s top pitcher and earned all-conference honors three years and was all-district her senior season. Wilcox was also a part of Kingfisher’s state runner-up girls golf team in the spring. On top of earning the MACU scholarship for softball, Wilcox was a recipient of the Beverly Schaberg-Darrough Scholarship. [Photo by Chris Simon/www.simon-sports-photos.smugmug.com]
