LAWSON GEHEB and the Okarche Lady Warriors joined much of the rest of the state Monday in starting their respective fall seasons. That was the case as the hallways and classes were full of students and teachers across all five of Kingfisher Public Schools’ campuses. The same can be said in Dover and Lomega as well as Chisholm Trail Technology Center. School starts back for students in Okarche, Cashion and Hennessey this Thursday, Aug. 14. Jake Merrick will make a presentation at the group’s next meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the Kingfisher County Farm Bureau Insurance Building, 117 W. Sheridan in Kingfisher. Merrick is a former state senator and is currently a radio host. The public is invited to attend and there will be a Q&A after his presentation.
