Holy Trinity students raise funds for Sister BJ’s Pantry

By

Students at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Okarche recently spent a week raising money for Sister BJ’s Pantry during Catholic Schools Week. Modeled after The Corporal works of Mercy, Sister BJ’s Pantry is named for Sister Barbara Joseph and helps the homeless in Oklahoma City. Holy Trinity students brought money to school each day during the week. On Monday it was pennies, Tuesday was for nickels, Wednesday was dimes, Thursday quarters and on Friday students brought bills. After third and fourth graders counted and rolled the coins, it was determined that $739.18 was raised for the pantry. [Photo provided]
