Mass of Christian Burial for Anna G. Lightle, 94, was Thursday Jan. 17, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Ed Menasco.

Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Anna was born east of Hennessey on Feb. 9, 1924, to Jerry and Frances Fuksa Vaverka and died Sunday Jan. 13, 2019, at her home in Hennessey. ›She married Dwight Leroy Lightle in Alva on July 4, 1942.

Anna owned and operated Lightle Sand & Construction and was active in the business until the time of her death.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Anna is survived by one son, Bill Lightle of Hennessey; one daughter, Barbara Hagar and husband Larry of Texoma; seven grandchildren, David Dollar and wife Becky of Hennessey, Terri Woods and husband John of Lexington, Texas, Gene Hagar and wife Kim of Milan, Kan., Kellie Knolles and husband Ben of Kingfisher, Kim Leal and husband Donnie of Elk City, Tammy Kersey and husband Tony of Noble, Brenda Dammann and husband Dwight of Ava, Mo.; 13 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband; one infant daughter, Peggy Lightle; one sister, Frances Grace, one brother, Jerry Vaverka and one infant sister, Marie Vaverka.
