Audie L. Price, longtime resident of Dover and founder of Audie Price Inspection, Inc., died Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Price was born Oct. 28, 1955, in Kermit, Texas, to parents Bill Price and Martha Pyle. He attended Dover Schools and married the love of his life, Brenda, on June 7, 1974.

During childhood, Price moved to Dover from West Texas to assist his grandfather, Cody Bradley, on a dairy farm. From there he went on to achieve nearly five decades of success in the oil and gas industry.

It began with decades of pipeline welding and culminating in the founding of Audie Price Inspection, Inc,. in 1999. For more than a quarter-century, the company has provided top-tier pipeline inspection along with welder testing/ certification.

Until his death, Price remained an industry titan, doing substantial business across multiple states.

Those who knew him best would say his unmatched work ethic was surpassed only by his charitable heart and love for family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as siblings Billie Francis Capps (sister), Donald Price, Darrell Price, Larry (wife Tammie Price), Gary Lynn Price Sr. and grandson Ethan Zdanowski.

He is survived by his wife Brenda of the home; children Jason Price of Oklahoma City, Julie Walker of Kingfisher (with husband Charles); and grandchildren, Nathan Price (with wife, Lilliana, who is expecting) of Norfolk, Va., Peyton Walker of Edmond and Taitym Walker of Kingfi sher.

Other surviving family members include siblings Jerry Price (wife Inge) from Crowley, Texas, Debbie Chestnut (husband Donnie) from Hennessey, Darla Nixon from Corpus Christi; sisters-in-law Sybil Price of Kingfisher and Patsy Price of Okarche; aunt and uncle Everett and Lynda Price of Edmond. Also remaining to cherish his memory are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, at the First Baptist Church of Kingfisher with graveside committal to follow at the Kingfisher Cemetery.

Following the service, a lunch for family, friends and employees will take place at 1 p.m. in the API Annex building.

Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Kingfisher.
