Carol Lynn Evans was born on Oct. 31, 1946, to Ray and Frances Opdenhoff in El Reno.

She passed away Dec. 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family in Oklahoma City.

Carol was raised on a farm and attended school at Omega.

She attended Oklahoma State University briefly before marrying Greg Combs and raising a family.

Together, they had twin daughters Candi (Don) Bullard, Ctaci (Chris) Gary and a son, Cterling Combs.

She lived in Kingfisher, but followed her children to Oklahoma City where she was a legal assistant for over 25 years.

Carol loved her grandchildren immensely.

She was blessed with Charli Bullard, Mackenci (and Davis) Hudiburg, Dru Bullard and Annalee Gary, all of Oklahoma City; Brandi (and Derek) Brown of Edmond and Savannah Gary of San Diego, Calif.

Her greatest joy was her great-grandchildren and to care for them.

Hunter, Jackson and Lucy Hudiburg of Oklahoma City and Dax, Dane and Bradlee of Edmond brought her much happiness.

She is survived by her immediate family, but also leaves behind a sister, Connie (and Karl) Kroener; nephews Judd (and Julie) Kroener, Bo (and Katie) Kroener and niece Annye (and Kevin) Bomhoff, as well as close friend Allen Ridley and her beloved white chow, Sophie.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Donald Ray.

A memorial service was Tuesday Dec. 21, in the Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel in Oklahoma City.
