Dora Faye Tucker
Dora Faye Tucker, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, peacefully transitioned from this life on May 12, 2025, in Oklahoma City.
Born on June 16, 1942, in Eastland, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Lomer Elton Phelps and Vadis Waneta Murray Phelps.
On July 18, 1959, she united in marriage with her devoted husband, Bobby Lee Tucker, in Carbon, Texas, embarking on a journey filled with love and family.
Faye was known for her artistic talents, particularly in ceramics, and her keen eye for beauty, which she expressed through her passion for browsing hobby and thrift shops.
A dedicated homemaker, she took immense joy in cooking and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by her family.
A faithful member of the Baptist community, Faye’s spirit touched many lives.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, two sisters and one brother, she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion.
Faye is survived by her two sons, Clint Tucker (Amanda) and Mart Tucker (Cindy); her daughter of the heart, Ann Lowrie (Shane); grandchildren Lacey Winn (Michael), Laura Tinsley (Michael), Leah Mueggen-borg (Justin), Zoey Macon (Cole) and Jacob Holland (Myra); great-grandchildren Tucker and Harper Winn, Caroline and Townes Tinsley, Bode and Kodi Mueggenborg, Wesley Holland and Clemson Macon (due in June); as well as nieces Mitzi McGaha and Kelly Carruth (Jim) and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In honor of her life and spirit, funeral services were Monday, May 19, at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.
A graveside service followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Carbon Volunteer Fire Department, honoring Faye’s community spirit and love for those around her.
Faye Tucker will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
