Goldie Mae Baker
Goldie Mae (Troyer) Baker, 95, of Kingfisher, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 25, 2025.
A celebration of her life was held Wednesday, July 30, at Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene.
Goldie was born May 19, 1930, in Dover to Rosa Dellia Troyer and Floyd Franklin Troyer and was raised on the family farm west of Dover.
She married John L. Baker on Aug. 1, 1953, and they were lovingly married for 57 years.
Goldie worked at the Kingfisher 81 Café, but she is best known for her 63 years of employment at People’s National Bank (later Interbank) in Kingfisher.
Goldie loved fishing, playing Bingo and hitting the occasional casino, but she especially loved cooking and baking and was known far and wide for her homemade pies. Cooking meals for family and spending time surrounded by her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids was the joy of her heart.
She was a member of the Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene and faithfully at-tended as long as her health allowed.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Floyd Troyer Jr., her husband and one great-grandchild, Cole Raydan Fisher.
She is survived by her children Donella Strawn and husband Earl of Edmond and Dennis Baker and wife Lora of Kingfisher; grandchildren Donica Bow and husband Kelly, Ryan Markus and wife Tara, Kristen Ridler and husband Lance, Calyn Morton and husband Kris, Tara Strawn, Kelsi Hanvold and husband William and Kori Perez and husband Diego; as well as 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
