Gorden Ernest Kuehl went to be with the Lord on Feb. 8, 2022, at the age of 79.

After several months of declining health, Gorden died peacefully at home with his beloved wife Betty, daughter Laura and family by his side.

He was born to Clarence William Kuehl and Martha Jane Preston on Nov. 5, 1942, in Sterling, Colo. The second son of eight children, he didn’t have the opportunity for a formal education, but at an early age learned the value of hard work and determination.

Gorden was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Clarence Jr. Kuehl, Clara West, Alonzo (Buck) Kuehl, baby Dora Kuehl, Dean Kuehl and baby Henry; son Gorden Dwane; and his great-granddaughter, Ella Ann.

He will be deeply missed and leaves many cherished memories with his loving family: wife, Betty Joann Kuehl; daughter, Laura Martini and son-in-law, Paul Martini III; brother, Darrell Kuehl and sister-in-law, Barbara Kuehl; five grandchildren, Steven Kuehl, Robert Kuehl, Kelli Schilde, Aubree Grelle and Zachary Martini; 11 great-grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 1500 W. Vandament Ave., Yukon.
