The Christian funeral and burial of Judith Ann Heald, 77, of Okarche, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Okarche, with Reverend Dr. Chris Davis officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Judi was born Feb. 11, 1944, in Enid to Walter and Amanda Frickenschmidt.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Covington.

She attended a one-room school house in Covington through the seventh grade and graduated from Covington High School in 1962.

Judi married Larry Heald on Nov. 24, 1963, in the Fairview Methodist Church.

She attended Enid Business College and worked at Security National Bank for 12 years. She was then a homemaker while raising her children.

Judi worked at the Okarche Elementary as the secretary for over 28 years.

She enjoyed gardening and was very neat about everything she did while always keeping an immaculate house.

She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Okarche and served on the altar-guild for many years.

Judi was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Judi is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Heald of Okarche; son Tony (Kristie) Heald of Okarche; identical twin daughters Gina (Richard) Smith of Hampstead, N.C. and Karrie (Chris) Davis of Park Rapids, Minn.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered and greatly missed.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Dementia Division with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
