Kristen Jones Quillin, a beacon of love, faith and passion, passed into paradise on April 23, 2025, in Oklahoma City after a valiant four-year battle with cancer.

Born on Feb. 20, 1976, in Weatherford, Kristen radiated positivity, optimism and courage throughout her 49 years, touching countless hearts and inspiring those around her to embrace life with zest and purpose.

Kristen’s faith in Jesus was not so she would have a better life, but because she knew that He is better than life.

Kristen’s academic pursuits reflected her deep desire to connect with and uplift others. She earned a master’s degree in speech language pathology from the University of Oklahoma, following her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in family relations and child development from Oklahoma State University.

Her expertise allowed her to communicate not just with words, but with her spirit, as she helped her patients and clients find their voices and express themselves to the fullest.

Professionally, Kristen thrived as a speech pathologist and health coach.

Her work was not merely a job, but a calling – to empower, to heal and to bring health and joy. She embodied the sentiment, “You can do hard things.”

Kristen’s faith in Jesus Christ was her guiding force, as she invested in people’s well-being, health and spiritual growth, both in her career and personal life.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Kristen’s boundless enthusiasm for life was evident in her myriad interests. She was an avid traveler, living overseas for a time, exploring the world and soaking in its diverse cultures and experiences.

At home, in Edmond, she treasured every moment with her beloved husband, Scott, and their children, Abigail, Garrett, Kale and Josephine.

Her family – including her parents, Robbye and Jan Jones in Kingfisher, where she grew up; her siblings, Jarred Jones and Katie Jones Carpenter; and a very large extended family, were the center of her world. Kristen’s love for her family was a radiant force, as she nurtured and celebrated each milestone with a heart full of love.

A true testament to Kristen’s character was her unwavering passion for investing in people. Whether she was health coaching, working out or creating a podcast, Kristen pursued each activity with the intent to grow and to encourage growth in others.

Her legacy is one of courage, as she faced life’s challenges head-on and of love, as she embraced every individual with an open heart.

Kristen’s life story is a powerful narrative of a woman who lived with intention, grit and grace. In the words of Maya Angelou, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Kristen made everyone she crossed paths with feel valued and heard, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Her spirit will live on through the memories shared by her husband, children, parents, siblings, in-laws, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Kristen’s influence extended far beyond her family, touching the lives of friends, colleagues and those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and passion – a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide those who knew her.

In the face of adversity, Kristen Quillin showed us that life’s beauty is not diminished by its trials, but is instead through Christ, made richer through the strength and love with which we face them.

Today, as we honor her memory, let us hold close the lessons she imparted: to live passionately, to love courageously and to boldly proclaim that Jesus is who He said He was.

Kristen’s story is not one of an end of life, but a beautiful continuation through the lives she touched and the love she shared. Her light shines on, a beacon for all who seek to live a life of purpose and joy.

1 Timothy 4:7-8, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.”

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, at Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond under the direction of Crawford Funeral Services.

A fund has been made available for the benefit of Kristen and Scott’s children. If interested, please contact BancFirst, 1264 S. Bryant Ave. in Edmond, by calling 405-619-2283. Donations can be made to the “Quillin Kids,” care of Scott Quillin.

Additionally, a scholarship for Kingfisher High School students has been established in Kristen’s name to share and pass forward her legacy.
