The funeral for Lewis A. “Jack” Ritz, 88, was Monday July 12, at Hennessey First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Griff Henderson.

Burial followed at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Jack was born Aug. 23, 1932, in Loyal to Andrew Lewis and Evelyn Alyce Webster Ritz and died Saturday July 3, 2021, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

He married Johnnie Belle Alexander in Gulfport, Miss., on Nov. 12, 1955.

Jack served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member and past deacon of the First Baptist Church. He also taught Sunday School.

Jack is survived by one daughter, Trena Ritz of Stillwater; three sons, Mike Ritz of Enid, Perry Ritz and wife Christa of Hennessey, Tim Ritz and wife Sherry of Tulsa; four brothers, Willis “Bill” Ritz of Waco, Texas, Danny Ritz of Mineola, Texas, Jim Ritz of Cashion, Terry Ritz of Lake Fort, Texas; two sisters, Alyce Bregenzer of Hennessey, Carolyn Winters of Enid; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, son Andy Ritz, and two sisters Doris Young and Betty Ritz.
