Paul Nathan Caffey, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, in Stillwater surrounded by loved ones.

Paul was born on June 8, 1943, in Seminole to Paul Caffey, Sr., and Beatrice (Reavis) Caffey.

Paul dedicated his life to the oil and gas industry, where he worked with pride and professionalism for many decades.

He moved to Hennessey in the 1970’s where he operated Seminole Frac Tank Inc. with his father.

Paul was known in the community for professionalism, integrity, reliability and expertise.

After the 1980s oil bust, Paul continued in the oil and gas industry as a health safety and environmental professional.

Paul earned the respect and admiration of his peers in the industry and left a lasting legacy with family and friends all over the country.

Paul was affiliated with many organizations, including the Oklahoma Safety Council, National Safety Council and several oil and gas petroleum organizations. He was member of the Hennessey Masonic Lodge.

More than anything, Paul was a family man. He found his greatest joy in taking care of family spending time with those he loved whether that was sharing stories, enjoying a good meal or simply being together.

His laughter, warmth and easy-going nature made every moment with him special. Paul loved nothing more than being surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

His favorite memory is when his entire immediate family flew to Hawaii in 2017. It was an amazing trip and a lifelong dream of his.

A beautiful part of Paul’s story is his walk of faith. Before the final chapter of his life and during many of his years, Paul accepted Christ as his savior.

He faced his final days with peace in his heart and unafraid to go home. His confidence and calm were a powerful testimony to those around him. This is a quiet, profound reminder of God’s grace and presence.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Darlene Caffey; his children, Debbie Parks and husband Terry, Don Caffey and wife Tiffany, Jay Caffey and wife Brooke; grandchildren Tiana Spurrier and husband Andrew, Caden Caffey, Cruz Caffey, Macie Caffey, Faith Caffey and Ava Caffey; and great-grandchildren Tulsi Spurrier and Talulah.

Paul’s legacy is one of love, strength and unwavering dedication to those he cared for. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held in the near future with details to come. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share in honoring his memory.

The family asks donations be made to a charity of their choice in Paul’s name.

Services will be under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
