Sharon Worden

Memorial service for Sharon Ann Worden, 72, was Saturday, May 24, at First Christian Church of Hennessey officiated by Rev. Ish Engle. Cremation arrangements were by Cordry- Gritz Funeral Home.

Sharon was born in Enid on Sept. 14, 1952, to Sam and Esther Streck Staggs and died Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

She graduated from Hennessey High School in 1970 and earned her bachelor’s degree from Phillips University and an RN degree from Redlands Community College.

Sharon worked as a registered nurse at the Commons in Enid and later worked as a paraprofessional at Hennessey Public Schools. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Sharon married Peter Worden in Hennessey on Sept. 19, 1975.

She is survived by her husband of the home; one daughter, Dr. Samantha Moery and husband Monty of Bison; five grandchildren; and one brother-inlaw.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, son Adam Worden and brother Fred Staggs.
