Shirley Ann Taylor Harrison, 82, Kingfisher, died Sept. 7, 2021, in Oklahoma City.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at Kingfisher Cemetery with Rev. Scott Watkins officiating.

Shirley was born Aug. 14, 1939, to Clemeth “Slim” and Eunice Taylor at their farmhouse near Watonga.

She attended Watonga schools and graduated in 1957.

Shirley married Norman Harrison from Kingfisher on March 14, 1959.

She first worked at OG&E in Oklahoma City and then at Kingfisher Coop Supply.

Together, they farmed wheat and raised cattle, operated Wards Catalog stores in Kingfisher and Guthrie and co-owned and operated Kingfisher Ford Tractor for many years.

She later worked at Pioneer Telephone Cooperative and retired in 2002.

During retirement, Shirley enjoyed time with her husband traveling in their recreation vehicles, cruising with family and friends and visiting with their children and grandchildren including many trips to Florida.

She is survived by her son, Kevan Harrison and wife Lourdes of Doral, Fla.; daughter Kelli Chapman and husband Michael of Kingfisher; one grandson, Tye Chapman of Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Natalie Harrison of Gainesville, Fla., and Taylor Chapman of Perkins; two sisters-in-law, Sue Taylor of Watonga and Kayleen Helt of Kingfisher; one brother-in-law, Melvin Harrison of Kingfisher; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Norman Taylor, mother-in-law and father-in-law Walter and Gladys Harrison; and her brother-in-law Gary Helt.
