Girls golfers win season’s 1st outing

Kingfisher won the team title and had three of the top four individuals Tuesday at the Cashion Girls Golf Tournament on the Aqua Canyon Course at Cimarron National Golf Club.

Sophomore Ryan Scammahorn was the medalist with her 102.

Layla Kroener shot a 104 to place third and Addison Johnson was fourth with 106.

Callie Blair shot 114, good for 11th place, as the team finished at 426.

Crescent was second with a 461 and Cashion third at 471.

Cashion was led by Kyndal Isom’s 111, which tied her for eighth place.

Freshman Ashlyn Graham fired a 118, Molly Mayes and Addyson Jackson both finished with 121 and Kamryn Isom shot 132.

Scammahorn and Mor- rison’s Piper Roberts both shot 102, but Scammahorn won on a scorecard playoff.

As the girls played Aqua Canyon, the Kingfisher boys opened their season on the Cimarron National side.

The Jackets’ 345 placed them third in the field behind champion Hydro-Eakly and runner-up Regent Prep.

Hydro-Eakly’s 325 edged Regent by a single stroke.

Cashion tied for seventh with a 380.

Luciano Orozco paced the Jackets with a 9-over-par 79, which tied for fourth out of more than 75 golfers.

Hydro-Eakly’s Keaton Falasco was the medalist with his 72.

Hagen Owens, a freshman, fired an 87 while his classmate River Roof was next at 89.

Owens tied for 14th and Roof tied for 18th.

Cale Reagan finished with a 90 to place 20th while Hayden Todd rounded out the scores with a 113.

Connor Poe led the Wildcats with a 93 while Asher Howell shot a 94.

Kamden Goff finished at 96, Maddox Gibson at 97 and Creek Patterson at 103.
