Hennessey dominates OBA in road wins
Hagen Copeland nearly outscored his team’s opponent last Friday as Hennessey won for the third straight time.
Copeland poured in 37 points in the Eagles’ 80-44 victory at Oklahoma Bible Academy.
Included in that career night was eight 3-pointers. He started out modestly with 5 points in the first quarter as the Eagles only led 12-11.
He exploded over the next two frames and the team followed suit.
Copeland scored 16 in the second and 14 in the third as Hennessey outscored OBA a combined 47-17.
The Eagles also got 16 from Beau Vinson and 11 from Freddy Meraz as they improved their season mark to 5-7.
Lady Eagles win big
Hennessey dispatched of overmatched Oklahoma Bible Academy 49-18 Friday night in Enid.
The win was the second straight and fourth in five games for the Lady Eagles as they improved to 10-2.
The visitors blanked OBA in the first quarter and held the Lady Trojans to just 2 first-half points.
Emma Copeland wasn’t blanked.
She made four first-quarter 3-pointers for all 12 of her points.
That early barrage saw Hennessey get out to a 15-0 lead after a frame and 26-2 at halftime.
Star Torres added 10 points while Clare Munroe scored 8 for the Lady Eagles.
