Okarche’s Mueggenborg now eyes school’s all-time career scoring mark

Another major one is in sight.
Most importantly, Okarche kept its perfect Three Rivers Conference record intact with a 96-48 victory over visiting Crescent.
The Warriors improved to 17-3 overall and 6-0 in conference games.
They swarmed Crescent early with 38 first-quarter points and led 67-25 by halftime.
Mueggenborg had 27 of those, which was three more than he needed to surpass 2,500 career points.
He finished his night with 33 points on 14 of 21 shooting.
The Warriors also got 20 points from Easton Roby, who was 3 of 4 from 3-point range.
Okarche was 9 of 19 as a team.
Colin Hendrickson added 9 points while Brett Carnott scored 8 to go with a team-high 7 rebounds.
Crescent was led by Travis Wolfe’s 23 points.
According to iwasatthegame. com, Mueggenborg is just the 37th male to surpass 2,500 career points in Oklahoma high school history.
He currently sits at 2,509, which is 37th all-time.
Hovering at No. 28 on the list is Okarche’s Barry Schwarz, who finished his Warrior career in 1991 with 2,674 points and is the school’s all-time scoring leader.
Mueggenborg currently is 165 points behind Schwarz with five regular season games and Okarche’s playoff run still ahead of him.
To catch Schwarz in the regular season, Mueggenborg would need to average 33 points over those five games.
