Lomega made sure its final regular season basketball game was an exciting one.

And a win. All four Raider seniors stepped up in a big way as they beat visiting Pond Creek-Hunter 64-59 Tuesday on “Senior Night.”

The win capped Lomega’s regular season with a 15-9 record.

Brenden Uhlenhake made two big field goals in regulation and overtime.

The first came with under 30 seconds to play off an inbounds pass as Uhlenhake scored to tie the game 54-54.

That came seconds after Blayne Tefft nailed his fifth 3-pointer of the game to give the Panthers a 54-52 lead.

In overtime, Uhlenhake’s back door cut was met with a pass from Lance Yost.

His kiss off the glass with 1:34 remaining gave the Raiders a 58-56 lead they wouldn’t lose.

Cameron Ramer did his part by scoring 4 points in the extra period, including two free throws with 1:17 to play for a four-point lead.

After Tefft nailed his sixth 3-pointer to pull PC-H within a point, Yost proved clutch at the line.

He made two free throws for a 62-59 lead with 31 seconds to play and then again with 15.8 showing on the clock to push Lomega’s lead to five points.

Those sandwiched a defensive gem by Ramer as he drew a charge on the Panthers with just over 20 seconds to go.

Yost scored 10 points and Jaxson Snowden 6 in the second quarter as Lomega outscored the Panthers by 9 to increase their halftime lead to 31-20.

But Tefft, scoreless in the first half, came alive in the third.

All six of his treys came in the second half and OT for his 18 points.

Micah Westrope led part of the early charge as he scored 14 of his 18 in the first half.

But Snowden and Yost were steady forces.

Snowden had 10 in the second half and Yost again made a pair of big free throws for a 52-51 lead with 50 seconds to go in regulation.

He was 6 of 6 from the line overall and led all scorers with 20.
