Sternberger, Bowers earn All-State football

Kingfisher’s Jett Sternberger and Crescent’s Hunter Bowers were named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State football team, which was announced Monday.

Sternberger was selected as a quarterback/athlete and Bowers a linebacker for the West team, which will play members selected to the East during the annual OCA All-State Games in late July in Tulsa.

Several other local players earned OCA All-Star by Class, which is a prerequisite for the All-State honor.

More on Sternberger and Bowers, as well as the All-Star lists, will be included in the weekend edition.
