THIS GROUP is putting together the History of Kingfisher County, a 450-page book that will be off the press soon.

The above is a picture of the log cabin recently erected at the city park for the local Campfire Girls. It will be used by them as a meeting place and as a place for summer outings and social events.

With hundreds of dollar’s worth of improvements made during the last fourteen months and with the expected expenditure of still greater sums in the near future, the Temple Theatre of Kingfisher is rapidly assuming its place among the leading playhouses of the state.

Chris Kubat, nine-year old son of Brian and Angelia Kubat and student at Dover Elementary School, placed first in the American Shooters Association (ASA) state qualifying archery shoot held at Trosper Park in Okla. City. The state finals will be held July 14 in Osage County.

THESE ARE the new twirlers to be seen next season with the Kingfisher high school band, as they get together in Kingfisher City Park to rehearse their routines. The four are, left to right, sophomore Beth Major, freshman Becky McHone, sophomore Jo Ann Struck and sophomore Tiffany Curless.

Union News Jay and Shari Weber, who recently moved to Texas, were June 1-2 overnight guests of Jack and Wilma Weber.Jeremy Ingle of Dallas, Texas, spent three days last week with his parents, Ron and Denise Ingle and Rachel.Chris Ingle of Stillwater also spent some time with them.

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: April 17 - Warrant.Officer Aubrey Massey said in his report that he was en route to serve a warrant to a 43-year-old male when he observed the suspect as a passenger in a vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
