Kingfisher County’s 2026 wheat harvest continued to progress Thursday.Harvest was nearing its close in southern Kingfisher County but still struggling to reach high gear at Hennessey’s CHS Elevator which saw a few farmers bringing in 85,000 bushels of wheat on Wednesday.

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: April 17, 11:58 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and East Will Rogers Drive.Julio Lopez, 53, El Reno, driving a 2026 Ford F-250, was in the inside southbound lane of U.S. 81.

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: April 3 - No valid driver’s license.Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a vehicle with a defective third brake light and initiated a traffic stop.
