4 county candidates are unopposed

There will be no local political races after last week’s filing period, but there will be a new county officer this year. Kingfisher County Treasurer Robin Rother is retiring in July and her chief deputy Kelly Majetic will be appointed by commissioners to finish the last year on her term.

Dobrinski recognizes Dover basketball team on House floor

Rep. Mike Dobrinski, R-Okeene, last Monday recognized members and coaches of the Dover Longhorns boys basketball team in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. The team won the 2026 Class B-II state championship, the first boys basketball title in school history.
