County students playing roles on successful RCC academic team
The Redlands Community College Academic Team traveled to Kansas to compete in the Garden City Invitational, fielding three teams in the competition. The “A” team went undefeated, winning first place, and the “B” team finished in third.
Work could begin on wind farm project in January

DISTINGUISHED YOUNG WOMAN
DYW OF KINGFISHER COUNTY – The title of Distinguished Young Woman of Kingfisher County now belongs to Kamryn Purintun. The Kingfisher High School junior was announced as the winner during the 57th scholarship program held last Sunday at the Heritage School Auditorium.
Veterans Breakfast
The Kingfisher Elks Lodge once again is hosting its annual Veterans Day breakfast.Veterans are invited to the free meal Saturday, Nov. 11.Doors will open at 7 a.m. and the meal will be served at 8 a.m. with a program to follow.
Holiday Closings
Kingfisher County Courthouse will be closed this Friday for Veterans Day.Kingfisher City Hall also will be closed Friday in commemoration of the holiday. State offices also will be closed Friday.The Kingfisher Post Office will be closed on Saturday, which is the actual Veterans Day holiday.
