UCO announces fall semester honor rolls

TheUniversityofCentral Oklahoma has announced the students named to its honor rolls. For the fall 2025 semester, 1,924 students were named to the President’s Honor Roll, an honor achieved by those who recorded a “straight-A” or 4.0 GPA.

Rotary Club hosts 3 KHS seniors

Three Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club. Joining the local civic group were Carter Denton, Jet Klopfenstein and Grant Maxwell. Denton is the son of Kevin and Lori Denton.

Dover turns to Dayton to take on principal role

Dover has found its next junior high and high school principal. The school district’s board of education voted unanimously at a special meeting Wednesday night to hire Ryan Dayton to take on that role beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

The Kingfisher City Commission offi cially has its newest member. Jeremie Hill, left, was sworn in on Friday morning by City Attorney Jared Harrison. Hill won the election for Seat 4, which is a one-year unexpired term, on April 7.

Board takes shape, shapes KPS staff

Personnel - some arriving, some staying, some leaving - was the bulk of the agenda at the April regular meeting of the Kingfisher Board of Education.But first, the board had to get itself in order.The meeting was started by outgoing President Mike Copeland, who presided for a short time.
