Local Girls To Attend Girls State

The two Kingfisher highschool juniors shown will attend Girls State at Chickasha, June 2-9. The annual citizenship training school is sponsored by the American Legion auxiliary, and is held on the campus of Oklahoma College for Women.

Cashion FFA’s busy March pays off

March was a busy month for the Cashion FFA Chapter, as members began spring competitions, showed at the Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE) and continued preparing for spring events.The horse judging team traveled to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) and found success.

It’s called STING Week, but there’s more to it than that.Months of work culminated Wednesday afternoon in the Kingfi sher High School commons as members of the Student Council revealed they had raised more than $10,000.“It takes a lot,” said KHS STUCO President Harper Evans.

KPS board calls special meeting

A special meeting of the Kingfisher Board of Education is planned Monday in which members will perform another evaluation of Superintendent Andy Evans.That was revealed Thursday when the agenda for a special meeting was released. The meeting is 5:30 p.m. at the Administration Office.

Connel accepts Crossings coaching position

Kingfisher High School is in the market for a new boys basketball coach... and possibly an assistant principal.Colby Connel has been hired as the new boys coach at Crossings Christian School in Oklahoma City.Connel confirmed that to the KT&FP on Thursday and Crossings made the announcement Friday.

LENTEN PROJECT

LENTEN PROJECT – The Sts. Peter & Paul Altar Society wrapped up its Lenten sewing project by donating baby blankets, infant clothing and diapers, wipes and lotions to Willow Pregnancy Support.
