A ping-pong tournament was held among the highschool girls of Holy Trinity school the past week. Those participating played games during the noon hours and during physical education periods. Alice Gassen and Betty Hockenschneider won the final game from Edna Wittrock and Dorothy Heinen.

Hennessey school board accepts a 4.15% bid on taxable building bonds
Northland Securities had the lowest and best bid at 4.15% on $1.215 million in taxable building bonds for the Hennessey Public Schools.The bonds are to pay for the Eagle Event Center.Other bidders were CommunityStateBankandUMB, 4.1835%; The Baker Group of OKC with American Heritage Bank, 4.
Garden containers the lesson topic at Farmerettes’ February meeting
Container gardening was the lesson presented by Mary Curry to the Hennessey Farmerettes at their February meeting at Margie McConnell’s home.She showed a large feed bin with twigs and branches in the bottom half.
