A Hennessey man faces multiple felony drug charges after a weekend stop in Kingfisher resulted in the seizure of more than 250 grams of methamphetamine.Ronald Gene Hooley, 51, was arrested Saturday, Feb. 11, and booked into the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center by Deputy James McNew.

The annual Lenten series begins this week and runs until April 5.All services will be held at Frontline Ministries, 124 W. Erwin Ave., Kingfisher.A different church will deliver the message each week.The services begin at noon and lunch will be provided.The final service will be at 6 p.m.

David Treanor, a Hennessey town employee for 10 years, was hired as acting town administrator by the Hennessey Board of Trustees.That decision came during a special meeting Thursday night at Town Hall.

Kingfisher County 4-H members competed at the Oklahoma State 4-H Air Rifle competition late last month in Stillwater.The senior team of Kaden Kennedy, Merrin Evans and Brok Cooper placed fifth.Kennedy was 10th individually and qualified for the national 4-H competition.

Hennessey Elementary School students named to the first semester honor rolls for the 2022-23 year were recently announced.Students with all A’s made the superintendent’s rolls and students with A’s and B’s were listed on the principal’s rolls.
