Kingfisher Heritage School announced winners of several awards and honors during ceremonies at the end of the 2020-21 school year.

Coronado Masonic Lodge #56 held a dinner followed by an open meeting Tuesday, May 18, in Hennessey to recognize and honor 11 Masons with membership pins and plaques.

The Keith Lowry-Henry Ellyson American Legion Post 5 will present its annual Memorial Day Service honoring fallen military personnel at 11 a.m. Monday at Kingfisher Cemetery. Local Legion Post Commander Joe Bliss will serve as emcee and speaker for the event.

Rep. Mike Dobrinski, Sen. Darcy Jech and Sen. Chuck Hall hosted and honored the Kingfisher High School boys basketball team recently at the state Capitol. The Yellowjackets won the 2021 Class 4A boys basketball state championship as well as the 4A academic state championship in the sport.
