Paul Hix was rehired as 2021-22 Hennessey Public Schools athletic/activities director in a special school board meeting Wednesday, March 31. The vote was 4 yes and 1 abstention. It was the board’s third time to vote on Hix’s retention.

Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Mugz Coffee Bar, located inside LifeWay Church at 1900 S. 13th St.

Technology center students planning for life after graduation and businesses looking for new employees will be able to meet virtually, thanks to Oklahoma CareerTech’s virtual job fair. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 7.

The first month of spring greeted Oklahoma with warmer and more tranquil weather than the historic cold and snowy February that preceded it. While March offered up momentary glances of nearly every weather hazard in Oklahoma’s arsenal, the month was most often quiet.

Glenda (Forbes) Carmichael, 78, of Kingfisher, passed away Oct. 27, 2020. My Grandma loved and adored Elvis. Her laugh was contagious as all get out. She loved Oklahoma, had so much knowledge about the state itself and our family history. She loved to drive, go for drives and travel.
