The first super moon of 2021 made a bold appearance as it rose above the eastern horizon at dusk Sunday evening. “Super moons” are so named because they are full moons that occur when the moon’s elliptical orbit is closest to the earth.

Changes are coming for telephone customers in the 405 area code. Starting April 24, all local calls within the 405 area code will require 10 digit dialing (area code plus local number).

City-County Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis reported to county commissioners Monday that county coronavirus numbers had decreased to 70 but Hennessey had experienced another death, bringing the county’s fatality toll to 27.

The Okarche High School speech team won its 24th Southwest Regional speech and debate title Saturday, March 27. OHS claimed the first-place sweepstakes plaque from the event, which was being held virtually this year due to COVID-19. Crescent placed second and Lawton Academy took third.
