My name is Terry Payne, and I am excited to be running for school board of Kingfisher Schools.
Kingfisher’s board of education met Monday in a special meeting to consider applications for a new superintendent.
Before the meeting was over, however, there were more positions to open up.
Kingfisher Study Club met Tuesday, March 2, at the First United Methodist Church.

The featured “woman in leadership” and guest presenter was Shauna Rupp, executive director of the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce.
Sabra Tucker, center, was the guest speaker at the Kingfisher County Retired Educators meeting. Tucker is the executive director of the Oklahoma Retired Educators Association and provided the local group updates on the rights and benefits of retired educators.
Shelia Craun, president of the state Association of Mothers Clubs, has invited the Hennessey Public School mixed choir and honor choir to entertain at the organization’s annual convention April 9-10 at the Embassy Suites in Norman.

Bart Looper, chief financial officer of 17 Design and Manufacturing, and Jared Harrison, local attorney and part owner of the company, were the featured speakers of the Kingfisher Lions Club last Thursday.
