Not even facing the teeth of a stiff wind could keep Cale Reagan from golf fate.The Kingfisher High School freshman blasted a knock-down 9-iron into that wind on the 12th hole at the International Course at Cedar Valley Golf Club.That shot eventually found its way right into the hole.

Freshmen played a big role in the Kingfisher High School girls’ second track meet of the season.KHS took third place Friday in the second annual Wildcat Relays at Cashion.The Lady Jackets scored 87 team points and won gold in four different events.Freshmen took part in all of them.

The Kingfisher girls soccer team opened the Oklahoma Christian School Invitational with a win, but eventually finished fourth after a pair of losses.After defeating OCS JV in Friday’s opener, the Lady Jackets were knocked off 9-0 by OCS and then 5-2 by Catoosa on Saturday.

Elk City edged out Tuttle and Kingfisher to take the team title at last week’s Weatherford Large-School Boys Invitational Tournament.The Elks shot a 312 at Prairie West Golf Course, which proved to be two strokes better than Tuttle and three better than the Jackets.

Kingfisher’s girls golf team got its season started with a title on Wednesday.The team took first in the small-school division of the Weatherford Girls Invitational Tournament.Raegan Snider fired an 87 to take first place indivdually.Teammate Kylie Hood was the runner-up with a 95.
