Okarche works hard for Cashion sweep

Okarche wrapped up the regular season - and a pair of conference titles - in beating a county rival on Tuesday.Cashion hung tough in both games, but it was Okarche pulling out a 54-40 victory in the girls contest and then the Warriors a 64-56 win in the boys game.

Kingfisher needed to get back on the winning track.Clinton happened to be in the way.The Jackets used a 15-0 run in the first quarter Tuesday to help dispose of the host Red Tornadoes 66-28.The win came four days after the Jackets were defeated at home against Weatherford.

Dover’s girls had no problem moving into their district championship game.The Lady Longhorns opened the Class B playoffs Thursday by thumping Billings 71-21.Dover hosted Mulhall-Orlando, 4623 winner over Medford, in Saturday night’s district title game.

If you wanted an idea of how Watonga’s night went against Cashion, the second quarter was a good sample size.Visiting Cashion held its hosts scoreless in that quarter en route to a 50-27 Three Rivers Conference victory.Up 12-7 after a quarter, the Wildcats outscored Watonga 17-0 in the second.
