Hennessey started fast in the Skordle Festival and never looked back.The Eagles scored the game’s first nine points Saturday en route to a 6444 victory over Luther at Enid’s Stride Center.Layton Choate and James Sims combined for 35 points in the game, which was part of a threeday, 30-game festival.

Cashion had a gold medal winner and Kingfisher five placers at last weekend’s Hub City Classic wrestling tournament in Clinton.Alex Jerry of Cashion took home first place in the 120-pound bracket.Jerry won her three bracket matches by fall… and all in the first period.

Lomega was the only county school to carry through with its scheduled basketball games on Tuesday.Several schools in the state called off school Tuesday and/or Wednesday and, subsequently, all of their scheduled activities.Kingfisher was set to host El Reno for basketball homecoming.
