KHS girls take 4th, boys 11th at pre-state XC meet

Kerri Lafferty saw one part of Kingfisher’s numbers go down last week.Now she wants to see the other part be lower as well.The KHS girls took fourth place Saturday at the 2022 Edmond Pre-State Cross Country Meet at Santa Fe High School.

Hennessey girls make statement at pre-state meet

The youth movement in Hennessey has the Lady Eagles in contention in the world of cross country.HHS took fifth last Saturday at the 2022 Edmond Pre-State Cross Country Meet held at Santa Fe High School.It’s the same site state will be held late next month.

Kingfisher took runner- up and Hennessey fourth last Saturday during the high school girls race of the ninth annual Mike Driskill Invitational cross country meet.The meet was run at Hennessey’s Turkey Creek Golf Course.KHS finished 11 points behind Guthrie in the team race.

Crescent will have the opportunity to defend its cheer state championship and will do so - yet again - as a regional champ.The Tiger squad earned that distinction at last Saturday’s Class 2A regional championships held at Stroud High School.Crescent is one of three local squads to advance to state.

Crescent downs Morrison 18- 7 to remain undefeated

Only one area football team is undefeated heading into district play.It’s the Crescent Tigers. Perennial power Morrison was their latest victim as Crescent prevailed in an 18-7 slugfest for homecoming last Friday night.
