1980 Hennessey High School graduates Gene and Tracy (Taylor) Bennett will return to their hometown this fall as members of the Hennessey Public School staff.He will be the head high and middle school wrestling coach, and she will teach in the elementary school.

WHS nips KHS girls’ state run

Kingfisher girls’ magical playoff run came to an end Tuesday morning.The Lady Jackets were downed 50-41 by No. 4 Weatherford in the Class 4A quarterfinals at State Fair Arena.Weatherford led most of the game and was on top 42-35 with 2:55 to play.

The Lomega boys basketball team saw the magic run out on Monday, but not before it took fans on one wild ride.The Raiders’ season ended with a 37-35 loss to No. 19 Earlsboro in a Class B area consolation semifinal at Stroud.
