Crescent wins regional; KHS, Cashion qualify for cheer state

All three local competitive cheer teams have earned the right to compete this weekend at state.Crescent was crowned a Class 2A regional champion last weekend at its competition in Chickasha.Cashion was third in that same regional.Meanwhile, Kingfisher was fifth in its Class 4A regional at Stroud.

Offense, defense and special teams contributed to the final score as Hennessey got back in the win column.The Eagles returned from their week off with a balanced attack in a 47-0 win over Crooked Oak in Oklahoma City.

Crescent methodically pulled away from Boone-Apache to earn its second straight road win of the season.The Tigers controlled the game with their running attack and kept their hosts out of the end zone until the fourth quarter Friday to earn a 21-6 victory.
